The Aeres Dronten faculty is an agricultural college focused on business administration, animals, food and green space. Of the more than 2,100 students, most follow full-time studies. In addition, around 150 students follow part-time education and we have 210 international students.
For more information, please contact project coordinator Natasja Spaargaren, email: n.spaargaren@aeres.nl.
The project will contribute to:
- Agricultural growth
- Ecologically sustainable food systems
- Water efficiency in agriculture
and so to the achievement of SDG 2.
This will be done through the strengthening of capacity, knowledge and quality of individuals as well as key organisations in the sector and organisations in the field of Technical and Vocational Education and Training and Higher Education in Kenya.
And also through the inclusion of gender inclusiveness, good agriculture practices (GAP) and the use of ICT in ATVET teacher training programmes, that will result in improved curricula and better equipped teachers resulting in better preparation of students to contribute to sustainable agriculture after graduation.
