There are 15 SAIs around the country. So how do you make sure all the teachers at all the SAIs keep up with this new style of teaching?
Arie explains: "It was impossible to train all the teachers. That's why we introduced the EST (Educational Support Team). The EST team consists of at least one teacher from each school. This teacher will receive extensive training in new skills, new didactics, working with new materials and equipment. It is their job to coach and facilitate the other teachers in turn."
It is a lot to ask: often it means that after a full day of teaching, the EST member has to work some more and share their experience and knowledge with the other teachers. "But they are all very invested in this project and enthusiastic about this new way of teaching."
